And who is this, you might ask? If you guessed George Washington, you would be....right! Freweini learned all about President Washington this week as part of Presidents' Day. She was even able to tell her class that she had been to George's house. We made a trip to Mount Vernon in November and toured the house and grounds. It was beautiful! As we were driving up, she wanted to know if it was George the monkey's house (Curious George). Once she was clear that we weren't going to see him, F wanted to know if George Washington was coming to his house to visit us while we were there. We told her he was dead and she said "oh, he lives in heaven with Jesus". "Probably," we said. And that was that. How grateful we are to be American.
